Gornal Athletic are at Garden Walk Stadium on Saturday (3pm) as they host Wellington Amateurs in a WMRL Division One fixture.
The Peacocks are looking for back-to-back home wins after beating Bustleholme 4-0 last weekend. A brace for Nathan Jones made it five goals in three games for him as he continues his hot streak in front of goal with Bradley Maslen-Jones and TJ Davies also getting on the scoresheet.
Beating Bustleholme stretches their unbeaten run to 12 league games as they maintain their position at the top of the standings and with 10 goals scored without response in their last three games, they’re in peak form at the moment.
One To Watch
Josh Godwin has been at the heart of Gornal’s defence all season, he’s the only player to have made an appearance in every league game so far this campaign. He’s been fantastic recently as the Peacocks have kept three consecutive clean sheets.
Our Opponents
Wellington Amateurs are unbeaten in four league games although three of those games have been draws, including an impressive 2-2 draw away at fellow table toppers Allscott Heath. They are currently 11th in the table with 23 points from their 21 games.
