“Once again these ladies showed what they can do. Today we took the short trip over to the Dell to play in the first round of the Birmingham county open cup against Sedgley & Gornal Utd.

“Full credit to the hosts for playing the fixture with only 9 players, and we had a full 16 to choose from today.

“We started off great and half time 5-0 up I said we will make changes to give everyone a run out today as we can and won't always be able to in league games, but with the 5-0 lead I knew we could, we finished with a convincing 9-0 scoreline and each player having a good amount of time.

“We now look to Lye Town reserves next Sunday at home. This will be our first home game of the season and we are expecting a tough game so we need to be focused.

“I'd like to also thank those today coming to support the ladies at the Dell and will look forward to seeing a good crowd to push these ladies and give them the support they deserve to get a win.
